Privacy Policy

1. What we store
When you create an account we store your email address and a hashed password. You may optionally add a display name. Saved generators, word lists, and classroom resources you save to your library are stored on our servers. Live bingo rooms retain room and player data while a game is active.
2. Cookies and local storage
We use an httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser may also store game state (such as generated cards and word lists) in localStorage so your work is not lost between visits. We do not sell or share your personal information.
3. Third-party services
To provide certain features we rely on a few service providers:
- OpenAI — powers the AI generation of quizzes and lesson plans. The text you submit for generation is sent to OpenAI for that purpose.
- Upstash Redis — used for rate limiting and live bingo realtime state when configured.
- PostgreSQL hosting (e.g. Neon/Vercel Postgres) — stores account and library data.
- Resend (optional) — used to send password-reset emails.
4. How we use your data
We use your data only to operate the service: authenticate you, save and sync your library, power live games, publish community contributions under your name, and prevent abuse. We never sell your personal data.
5. Community contributions
Items you publish to the public community library are visible to other users together with your display name. Community items can be reported, and reported items are automatically hidden.
6. Your rights
- Access and correct: update your display name any time from your account settings.
- Export: your saved library items are visible and copyable from the My Library panel.
- Delete: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Session cookies are httpOnly. We apply rate limiting to public endpoints to help prevent abuse.
8. Children
This service is designed for teachers and adult users. Live games are generally operated by a teacher (host). It is not intended for unsupervised use by young children.
