Sports Bingo Cards

Get active with sports bingo. A great way to teach sports vocabulary, equipment names, and team concepts in PE classes and regular classrooms.

What Is Sports Bingo?

Sports bingo fills the card with sports vocabulary: soccer, basketball, tennis, a helmet, a whistle, a scoreboard. The caller names the sport or describes its equipment, and students mark what they hear. It is a fantastic warm-up or filler for PE classes and a natural topic for sports-loving learners.

Printable sports bingo cards work for physical education lessons, English vocabulary practice, and classroom team-building. The free generator lets you build cards around any sport you are studying, from a general mixed set to a single-sport deep dive.

Why Teachers Use Sports Bingo Cards

  • PE connection: Links movement words to visual recognition, ideal before or after a skill station.
  • Relatable content: Students learn the names of the sports and equipment they already love.
  • Easy differentiation: Cards with pictures for younger students, word cards for older, or both.

Free Printable Sports Bingo Cards

Sports bingo prints on a standard 5x5 grid with one card per page, so images stay clear for a full class to see. Print in color for picture cards or black and white for coloring fun — unlimited unique cards, free, with no sign-up.

  • Print cards before a PE unit so the vocabulary is ready for each skill week.
  • Keep a laminated set in the gym for indoor recess days.

Ideas for the Classroom

  • Action Call — students mime a sport move when their sport is called instead of just marking it.
  • Team vs. Team — split the class and call sports; the team with the most full lines wins.
